Speech Therapist

As a part-time Speech Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Valid state license or certification to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the United States. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or equivalent supervised professional experience. Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and therapeutic interventions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and multidisciplinary teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with pediatric and adult populations in clinical or educational settings. Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and techniques. Certification in specialized therapy approaches such as PROMPT, Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT), or other relevant modalities. Bilingual abilities or experience working with culturally diverse populations. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and teletherapy platforms. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders in clients of various ages. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and client goals. Provide direct therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques to improve speech and communication abilities. Monitor client progress and adjust therapy approaches as needed to ensure effective outcomes. Collaborate with families, educators, and other healthcare providers to support holistic client care and provide guidance on communication strategies. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans. Stay current with advancements in speech therapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
