1.0 Position SummaryThe Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting warehouse operations by ensuring proper inventory control, material movement, and production support. This position helps maintain inventory accuracy, supports production needs, and ensures materials are available when required.2.0 Primary ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate records of the type, quantity, and value of materials, equipment, merchandise, and supplies stored in the warehouse.Count, verify, and record inventory using warehouse management systems and/or manual methods.Receive, stock, organize, and issue materials and supplies.Monitor inventory levels and reconcile physical inventory with system records.Receive incoming materials and verify shipments for accuracy.Label, store, and organize materials on shelves, racks, or pallets.Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits.Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies related to system transactions or operational issues.Notify Production, Purchasing, and Management when inventory or supplies fall below established minimum stock levels.Maintain inventory accuracy while adhering to company procedures and quality standards.Support and comply with the Company's Quality Management System (QMS), safety policies, and all applicable procedures.3.0 Additional ResponsibilitiesPerform other duties and special projects as assigned.4.0 QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesHigh attention to detail and accuracy.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Good organizational and recordkeeping skills.Minimum of one (1) year of forklift operating experience.Strong clerical and administrative skills.Dependable, reliable, and accountable.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Basic mathematical skills for inventory counting and reconciliation.Physical RequirementsAbility to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods.Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods throughout the workday.Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds.Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.Ability to work safely around forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment.Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. Employees are expected to be physically present at their assigned work location during scheduled working hours.5.0 Working ConditionsThis position is performed primarily indoors in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.Frequent exposure to varying temperatures, warehouse equipment, and moving machinery.Required use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as designated by company policy.6.0 DisclaimerThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals assigned to this position.
