About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU

Location

Colorado Springs, CO | Level III NICU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Every other weekend required | 1 major winter holiday per unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 52-bed Level III NICU setting with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3
• Manage and monitor neonatal patients with diagnoses including RDS, prematurity, and hypoglycemia
• Work alongside respiratory therapy teams utilizing vents, CPAP, Heated High Flow, and Blended Nasal Cannula equipment
• Participate in self-scheduling with every other weekend commitment; scheduler may adjust as needed to balance unit coverage
• Adhere to unit dress code (Navy Blue scrubs) and complete a 1-shift unit-specific orientation; clinicians must be on-site for the full week of orientation
• Float within the designated zone in cases of extreme staffing need

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Minimum experience with Level II and Level III NICU patients
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; driver's license must be submitted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for neonates requiring ventilator support, CPAP, or high-flow oxygen therapy
• Familiarity with neonatology environments supported by AAP and on-call neonatologist coverage 24/7
• Comfort working in a self-scheduling environment with rotating weekend and holiday obligations
