Pharmacist Position in Cabot, ArkansasA 359-bed pediatric trauma and teaching hospital in Arkansas is seeking experienced pharmacists for a 13-week night shift assignment, with potential for temp-to-hire status. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment within one of the largest pediatric medical providers in the country.Schedule:7 nights on/7 nights off12-hour shifts, 7pm to 7am (Thursday through Wednesday)Scheduling flexibility may be accommodatedLocation: Cabot, ArkansasKey Responsibilities:Compound and dispense prescribed medications based on physicians' instructionsConsult with medical staff regarding drug interactions, patient histories, and medication usageMonitor patient responses and intervene in cases of allergies, drug interactions, or adverse reactionsVerify dose appropriateness based on diagnosis, weight, age, and surface areaEnsure compliance with pharmacy data recording, regulatory guidelines, and hospital proceduresParticipate in patient care activities and collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize therapyEducate patients, technicians, pharmacists, and students; participate in discharge planningManage drug information requests and conduct drug utilization reviewsCoordinate medication ordering and inventory processes efficientlyQualifications:Active Arkansas pharmacist license preferred; candidates in the process of obtaining a temporary license will be consideredMinimum 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience preferredIV experience or IV certification favoredBoard Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) certification is a plusThis role is ideal for pharmacists seeking a challenging and rewarding environment contributing to pediatric healthcare.
