SHIPPING AND RECEIVING CLERK Full Time Location: Houma, La. Responsibilities Check in material, enter system, and proper labeling on materials (ex. Customer, Job, & Location) Notify of incorrect material to purchasing Operate forklift, trucks, and trailers Organize load outs Keep all tools, gang boxes, trailers up to date with service and in working order Keep shop, materials, and tool rooms organized & clean. Coordinate staging of project material and return of unused project material Manage paperwork associated with items mentioned above Coordinate with purchasing and line managers for pickups and drop offs Line up shop drivers for pickups and drop offs Self-sufficient, completing duties with minimum supervision Qualifications 3-5 years of shipping/receiving experience. Previous forklift experience required. Forklift certification is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision. Ability to lift 50lbs. Computer proficiency e.g. Word, Excel, & Outlook Key Skills Strong initiative, initiative-taker, & self-thinker. Ability to perform under pressure. Ability to keep neat and accurate records. Multi-task orientation with skills related to work prioritization. Ability to work with a team and communicate with other functions.
