Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Technology Consultant with expertise in BlackLine software and experience in Finance and Accounting operations. As a business consultant, you will work closely with our clients to provide strategic guidance, process improvement, and technical support related to financial accounting operations excellence including but not limited to reporting, and reconciliation. Your in-depth knowledge of BlackLine will be crucial in assisting and advising clients in implementing and optimizing the software to streamline their financial operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Consult with clients to assess their finance and accounting operations and technology needs, understand existing processes, and identify areas for improvement.
2. Provide expert advice and recommendations on best practices in financial accounting, reporting, and reconciliation process and technology optimization, leveraging your automation solutions expertise including knowledge of BlackLine software.
3. Collaborate with clients to design and implement automation and business optimization solutions tailored to their specific requirements, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory compliance.
4. Conduct thorough system evaluations and gap analyses to identify potential inefficiencies or bottlenecks in financial processes and develop strategies to address them.
5. Assist clients in configuring, customizing, and integrating BlackLine modules, such as Account Reconciliation, Task Management, Journal Entry, and Transaction Matching, to automate and optimize their financial workflows.
6. Lead training sessions and workshops to educate clients on the effective use of BlackLine software, empowering their finance and accounting teams to leverage its features and functionalities.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of BlackLine with existing systems and processes.
8. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients as needed, resolving issues related to BlackLine implementation, data integrity, and system performance.
9. Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in financial technology, particularly in the realm of financial accounting and reporting, to continuously enhance your expertise and provide valuable insights to clients.
10. Contribute to the business and practice development activities.

Qualifications:

1. Extensive experience working in finance and accounting operations consulting roles, with a focus on financial accounting, reporting, and reconciliation process and technology excellence.
2. Strong expertise in automation and process optimization solutions including but not limited to BlackLine software.
3. Hands on exp with Journal Entry Module.
4. Understanding of financial accounting principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
5. Proven track record of successfully delivering finance and accounting consulting projects, preferably with experience in process improvement and automation.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and drive implementation.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients at all levels of the organization.
8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
9. Knowledge of other financial software systems and ERPs, such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, is desirable.
10. Familiarity with data integration techniques, data analytics, and reporting tools is a plus.
