Role Overview

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I , you will perform diagnostic testing and quality control procedures to ensure accurate and timely results that support patient care. This role is responsible for preparing reagents, performing and reviewing moderate to high complexity testing, maintaining instruments and computer systems, and adhering to laboratory and regulatory standards.

You will play a vital role in delivering precise and reliable laboratory data, supporting clinical decision-making, and advancing BayCare's mission of excellence in patient-centered healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing and quality control procedures in accordance with established protocols.

• Prepare reagents and materials for laboratory testing.

• Review and oversee moderate to high complexity testing for accuracy and reliability.

• Maintain laboratory instruments, computer applications, and supply inventory.

• Accurately report and document test results following laboratory policies.

• Participate in troubleshooting and equipment maintenance as needed.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support laboratory operations.

Qualifications

?? Certification & Licensure

• Required: State of Florida - Clinical Laboratory Technologist License

?? Education

• Required: Associate's Degree in Medical Technology or related field

• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a related field

?? Experience

• Clinical laboratory experience required

• Minimum four months of experience in a laboratory setting
