Annual Giving Advancement Officer

Position Summary

The Annual Giving Advancement Officer is responsible for building and stewarding relationships with annual donors, community partners, local businesses, and philanthropic supporters throughout Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley’s service area. This role primarily focuses on securing annual gifts and sponsorships at or below $25,000, with a strong emphasis on annual partnerships, event sponsorships, donor renewals, and community-based fundraising support.

The Annual Giving Advancement Officer manages a portfolio of annual giving and sponsorship prospects, leading outreach, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts that help grow consistent and sustainable philanthropic revenue for the organization. This role works closely with community partners and supporters to strengthen engagement, expand sponsorship participation, and increase annual investment in RMHC programs, events, and mission-focused initiatives across the region.

This position is full-time, in-person, and reports to the Chief Advancement & Communications Officer.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward annual donors and sponsorship partners with a primary focus on gifts of $25,000 or less
• Build and manage relationships with local and regional businesses, organizations, and community supporters
• Secure annual partnerships and event sponsorships that support organizational fundraising goals
• Manage a portfolio of annual giving and sponsorship prospects through ongoing relationship management and stewardship
• Coordinate donor meetings, sponsorship outreach, presentations, and engagement opportunities
• Collaborate with advancement, marketing, and leadership teams to support fundraising campaigns, donor communications, and stewardship initiatives
• Track donor activity, sponsorship revenue, and engagement efforts within the organization’s CRM
• Assist with event sponsorship fulfillment, recognition, and stewardship activities
• Support annual giving campaigns, donor retention efforts, and community fundraising initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in nonprofit management, communications, business, marketing, public relations, or a related field
• Minimum of 2–4 years of fundraising, sales, business development, community engagement, or related experience preferred
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
• Experience with donor databases, CRM systems, or fundraising software preferred
• Comfortable with donor solicitation, networking, and community engagement
• Passion for the mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities and serving families navigating pediatric medical crises
