Supplier Quality Engineer

Talascend is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Clearwater, Florida .


Overview


This role involves leading supplier quality improvement initiatives, conducting supplier audits, and driving root cause analysis and corrective actions to enhance overall supplier performance and quality compliance.


Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality improvement initiatives to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct supplier audits to assess supplier capabilities and identify areas for improvement.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• 6+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of quality engineering practices and methodologies.
• Experience in conducting supplier audits and driving supplier performance improvement.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to disposition hardware.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to influence and negotiate with suppliers.
