COTA

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will provide support in delivering occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. This role involves assisting patients with rehabilitative activities to improve their daily living and work skills. The COTA is expected to work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective patient care and rehabilitation outcomes. Responsibilities:

• Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans and therapeutic activities.
• Support patients in improving their functional abilities related to daily living and work tasks.
• Document patient progress and communicate observations to the supervising therapist.
• Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
• Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

• Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Less than 1 year of experience acceptable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a rehabilitation or skilled nursing environment.
• Flexibility to work a guaranteed 36-hour week, with potential for 40 hours.

• Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation systems.
• Additional training in specialized therapeutic techniques.

• Position is a 13-week contract.
• Work is performed in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility.
• Must comply with all health and safety regulations of the facility.

• Guaranteed 36 hours per week with potential for 40 hours.
• Shift details to be assigned by management.
