Performs assessment of the individual patient, anticipates the needs of the care team and provides services while maintaining a safe environment.**Qualifications:*** Current Montana RN License **or** a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; required.* BSN degree preferred.* Minimum of two (2) years’ nursing experience preferred.* PALS within six (6) months of hire/transfer.* Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.* Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.* Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.**RN Job Specific Duties:*** Performs patient assessment. Utilizes all available sources of information and incorporates the patient’s perception of illness.* Develops an individualized plan of care for each patient and updates the plan throughout the visit as appropriate.* Consistently identifies safety issues concerning the patient and staff during visit.* Independently reviews medication lists and provides ongoing medication or treatment education at the directive of physician or advanced practice provider.* Coordinates with healthcare team to provide continuity of care.* Participates in the development and delivery of education and competency validation of clinical staff.* Utilizes department Standard of Care and individualizes care provided on an on-going basis per department standards.* Administers medications per provider order.* Demonstrates a commitment to professionalism while undertaking and completing all department competencies.The above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job classification. Four 10-hour shifts per week, generally Monday - Thursday. Shifts typically start at 7am.**Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
