Used Car Manager Responsibilities:

• Manage used vehicle inventory, acquisition, and merchandising
• Source vehicles through auctions, trade-ins, and direct purchases
• Price inventory based on market trends and dealership strategy
• Drive used car sales volume, gross profit, and performance
• Monitor KPIs including inventory turn, gross per unit, and aging inventory
• Desk deals, structure transactions, and assist with closing sales
• Train, coach, and develop automotive sales consultants
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention

Used Car Manager Qualifications:

• Experience as a used car manager, sales manager, or automotive sales leader
• Strong knowledge of vehicle acquisition, pricing, and market analysis
• Proven track record of driving used car sales and profitability
• Experience desking deals and managing inventory
• Ability to work in a high-volume dealership environment

Used Car Manager Skills:

Strong skills in automotive sales management, inventory acquisition, vehicle pricing, and team leadership. Experience managing used car operations, sourcing vehicles through auctions and trade-ins, and maximizing profit per unit. Knowledge of dealership KPIs, inventory management systems, desking deals, and customer satisfaction (CSI). Ability to drive sales growth, improve inventory turn, and lead high-performing dealership sales teams.
