Commercial Litigation Associate

We are working with a leading national law firm seeking a talented Commercial Litigation Associate with 2-3 years of experience to join its sophisticated litigation practice in Houston . This is an excellent opportunity for a junior associate seeking hands-on litigation experience, early substantive responsibility, and direct exposure to partners and clients while working on complex business disputes. The Role The associate will work on commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts, including: Conducting written and document discovery Researching and drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings Assisting with expedited relief matters, including TROs and injunctions Conducting and defending depositions Preparing witnesses for depositions and testimony Participating in hearings, status conferences, and motion practice Working directly with partners, clients, and litigation teams Participating in settlement conferences and negotiations Assisting with trial preparation Ideal Background 2-3 years of commercial/business litigation experience Experience handling complex litigation matters in state and federal courts Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills Experience with discovery and substantive motion practice Deposition experience strongly valued Experience with TROs, injunctions, or other expedited proceedings is a plus Trial preparation experience preferred Strong academic credentials JD from an ABA-accredited law school Active Texas Bar membership This is a strong opportunity for an ambitious junior litigator looking to build meaningful courtroom, deposition, and case-management experience within a sophisticated and collaborative litigation practice. #J-18808-Ljbffr Oculus Group
