CNC Manual Machinist – $40–$45/Hour

Location: Earth City, MO
Pay: $40.00–$45.00 per hour, based on experience
Job Type: Full-Time
Shifts: Multiple shifts available, including weekend shifts

CNC Manual Machinist

We are seeking an experienced CNC Manual Machinist to join a precision manufacturing operation in Earth City, MO. This position is ideal for a highly skilled machinist who is comfortable setting up and operating CNC equipment while also utilizing strong manual machining, inspection, and troubleshooting skills.

Candidates should be confident working independently, reading complex blueprints, making machine adjustments, and producing precision components to tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes
• Perform manual machining operations as required
• Complete machine setups, including tooling, fixtures, and workholding
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Make offsets and adjustments to maintain part specifications
• Perform basic program edits at the machine when necessary
• Machine precision components to tight tolerances
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments
• Understand and apply GD&T and dimensional tolerances
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues
• Monitor tool wear and replace or adjust tooling as necessary
• Complete first-piece and in-process inspections
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
• Follow all safety and quality procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

• Previous CNC machining experience required
• Strong manual machining knowledge and hands-on machining skills
• Experience setting up CNC mills and/or lathes
• Ability to perform setups with minimal supervision
• Strong blueprint-reading skills
• Experience working with tight tolerances
• Knowledge of GD&T preferred
• Ability to use micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and other precision inspection equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to identify and correct machining or quality issues
• Dependable with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team

Schedule

Multiple shifts are available, including weekend opportunities.

Compensation

$40.00–$45.00 per hour , depending on machining experience and skill level.
