RN-Diagnostic Cardiology

7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Summary

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of high-quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise, document, and educate patients and their families. Communicates effectively with the healthcare team and participates in developing and implementing solutions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac stress tests in the Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab.
• Assess, monitor, and care for patients throughout cardiac testing procedures.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to patient condition changes.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Cardiology RN experience
• Experience interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Current Michigan (MI) RN License
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to perform 4–8 cardiac stress tests per shift

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in Cardiac Stress Testing or a Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab

Additional Information

• Expected to complete 4–8 stress tests per shift
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed, but the unit will make every effort to accommodate scheduling requests.
