Network Administrator

Job TitleThis role focuses on streamlining technician workflows and strengthening infrastructure security.Core responsibilities include creating custom computer images, deploying software and updates via network tools, and providing technical support and user training. Additionally, the position manages and maintains cybersecurity solutions, including firewalls, content filters, Windows Servers, Hyper-V environments, and other security systems.Candidates should possess an Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Essential Duties And Responsibilities-Maintain virtual server infrastructure-Maintain web content filter-Maintain firewall-Build images for installation on laptops and desktop computers-Utilize Microsoft printing services to setup network printing for users-Maintain Internet security software on laptops, desktops, and servers-Develop processes and procedures for preventative maintenance-Provide instruction to Technology Technicians on new technologies being implemented-Maintains network hardware including switches, wireless access points, and other network devices-Maintains server network operating systems-Maintain Google Workspace for Education environment-Maintains Backup of all systems-Setup and manage educational-related platforms-Provide assistance to various other technology staff as needed-Mobile Device Management including Windows, Android, Chrome OS, and iOS devices-Administer Identity Management Solution-Other assignments as deemed necessary by the Superintendent and/or immediate SupervisorQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to work well with others, ability to communicate well with administrators and other division employees.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.REASONING ABILITY :Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :Hold a valid Virginia driver's license.Hold industry certification in pc repair and networking technologies.PHYSICAL DEMANDS :The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
