• Coach, mentor, and manage a team supporting general accounting and cash applications
• Set priorities, delegate effectively, and elevate team performance
• Identify and develop high-potential talent Own the Core Accounting Function
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements Drive Process Improvement & Automation
• Identify inefficiencies and proactively automate repetitive accounting processes
• Improve workflows to increase accuracy, speed, and scalability
• Play a key role in redesigning and improving payroll-related processes and system integrations Oversee Cash Applications (Through SME Team)
• Provide leadership and oversight across key systems including Epic, PeopleSoft, Kyriba and related financial platforms
• Ensure timely reconciliations, issue resolution, and system alignment
• Partner cross-functionally to support upgrades, testing, and process improvements Partner Across the Organization
• Collaborate with finance, IT, and operational teams on key initiatives
• Represent Accounting in system-wide projects and process improvements
• Provide clear insights and responses to leadership Requirements:
• 7+ years of accounting experience, with prior leadership experience
• Strong foundation in GAAP, financial reporting, and close processes
• Experience in hospital or healthcare environments strongly preferred
• Proven ability to lead teams, improve processes, and drive efficiency
• Experience with systems like PeopleSoft, Kyriba, Epic, or similar platforms is a plus
• CPA preferred
