Overview
Registered Nurse – OB/GYN travel assignment in Chanute, Kansas. Start date 08/03/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,171–$2,235 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.). Setting: Critical Access Hospital with an OB/GYN unit and potential Med/Surg float as census dictates.

Responsibilities
- Provide RN-level nursing care for OB/GYN patients across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages; monitor fetal status and respond to changes per protocol
- Administer medications and therapies as ordered; assist with deliveries and newborn care; manage admissions and discharges
- Monitor vitals, fetal monitoring data, and lab results; document accurately in the Cerner EMR and escalate concerns to the care team
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams; participate in routine backfill duties when census requires
- Educate patients and families on care plans, neonatal care, postpartum expectations, and discharge instructions
- Maintain patient safety and infection control standards; adapt to unit needs and float to Med/Surg when assigned

Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license or multistate license (at submission)
- OB delivery room experience (receiving babies) required
- Certifications at time of submission: fetal monitoring, AHA NRP, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS
- Prior Med/Surg experience required due to occasional patient assignments
- EMR experience with Cerner
- Ability to work nights and function effectively in a fast-paced, acute care setting
