Business Process Analyst

Business AnalystPay Range: $55.00hr - $60.00hrRequirement/Must Have:Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a business analyst.Professional experience in business analysis, process improvement, project management, performance management, or a related field.Experience supporting strategic initiatives, organizational transformation, or enterprise-level improvement efforts.Experience developing executive-level reports, dashboards, process maps, SOPs, or implementation documentation.Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, including the ability to evaluate complex information and develop practical recommendations.Ability to develop and use performance measures, dashboards, reports, and other tools to monitor progress and communicate results.Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, assignments, and deadlines.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality deliverables.Responsibilities:Gather, analyze, and evaluate information related to agency business processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to standardize, streamline, and improve operations.Conduct gap analysis and root cause analysis and develop actionable recommendations to improve processes, systems, SOPs, workforce utilization, and management functions.Support the planning, coordination, implementation, execution, monitoring, and completion of finance-related strategic initiatives.Create, develop, and maintain project plans, milestones, action items, and other tools needed to achieve strategic initiative goals.Coordinate with initiative leads, sponsors, and stakeholders to maintain alignment on scope, timelines, deliverables, and expected outcomes.Identify blockers, risks, and issues; support resolution and escalate concerns when appropriate.Analyze and evaluate proposed business process changes before implementation.Conduct feasibility assessments and risk analyses and develop optimization strategies to support informed decision-making.Develop and maintain performance management dashboards and reporting tools for strategic initiative leads, sponsors, and leadership.Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), milestones, risks, and initiative progress.Apply change management practices in accordance with agency guidance.Support stakeholder engagement, communication, readiness, and adoption activities associated with process, system, or operational changes.Ensure assigned activities and deliverables adhere to applicable federal, state, and agency requirements and documented guidelines.Develop and maintain clear process documentation, reports, recommendations, SOPs, and other materials necessary to support implementation and sustainability.Lead and facilitate meetings, workshops, workgroups, and other collaborative activities.Engage professionally with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels and support cross-functional collaboration.Communicate findings, recommendations, risks, and decisions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.Nice to Have:Preference given to experience in state government, healthcare, finance, regulatory or similar service-related business.Preferred master’s degree in MBA or MHA.Experience working in government, public health, finance, or another regulated environment is preferred.Lean Six Sigma, project management, change management, business analysis, or related professional training or certification is preferred.Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools is beneficial.Skills:Business Analysis.Process Improvement.Lean Six Sigma.Agile.Project Management.Performance Management.Change Management.Gap Analysis.Root Cause Analysis.Microsoft Office.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.Qualification And Education:Experience with business process improvement, process analysis, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, project management, or related methodologies.Ability to facilitate group discussions, build stakeholder alignment, and support resolution of cross-functional issues.
