Physical Therapist Assistant

The Physical Therapy Assistant implements treatment programs under the guidance and supervision of a licensed physical therapist. This position strives to maximize function and movement, minimize physical limitations, and increase independence and participation of each child through providing therapeutic techniques, equipment, and opportunities.

Percent of Time


Performs individualized treatment procedures in a professional and compassionate manner to maximize the child's performance.

Collaborates and communicates effectively with members of the patient care team; performs timely and accurate documentation and stays up to date on the most recent Physical Therapy techniques through research and CE.

Participates in staff training, student observations, clinical instruction of students and interns, and family training opportunities.

Other duties as assigned.

Education:


Graduate of accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.


Experience:


Pediatric experience preferred.


License/Certification/Credential:


Physical Therapist Assistant license from the state of Oklahoma or proven eligibility for licensing within 3-6 months of employment with a temporary license.
