Mechanical Engineer

GE HealthCare seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design, analyze, and verify mechanical components for Magnetic Resonance systems. The role involves CAD modeling, engineering analysis, prototype support, and cross-functional collaboration in a regulated medical device environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop mechanical concepts, CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation for assigned components
- Perform engineering calculations and support structural, thermal, and vibration analyses
- Support prototype builds, integration activities, and verification testing with failure investigation
- Apply design-for-reliability, manufacturability, assembly, and serviceability principles throughout development
- Collaborate with systems, electrical, manufacturing, quality, and service teams on product development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- Minimum 2 years mechanical engineering design and verification experience
- Proficiency with Creo or comparable 3D CAD software
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and fabrication practices
- Ability to collaborate across engineering teams and communicate technical information
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Full-time, onsite availability at Waukesha, Wisconsin facility
