Job Description Summary

This position analyzes and corrects electrical problems and repairs and overhauls electrical equipment and controls with supervision dependent on location's skills matrix. The position efficiently responds to line calls and conduct preventative maintenance on a regular basis.


Job Description

  • Installs electrical systems and components.

  • Inspects and maintains existing electrical systems to ensure functionality and safety.

  • Diagnoses and repairs electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Performs Preventative Maintenance electrical testing and adjustments and documents work through SAP.

  • Updates CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) with status and details of work order

results daily.
  • Performs non-routine maintenance jobs as assigned.

  • Maintains organized workspaces, tools, support 5S, and documentation.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Education/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred)
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.

  • Lock-out/Tag-out certification is required. If you are not qualified, you will be trained and must meet certification requirements

  • Applicability of required certification and licensing by level is determined by state regulations.

Skills and Experience:
  • Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral. (Requirement may vary by location).

  • Must be able to be qualified within time frames established by facility.

  • Ability to perform basic math functions, required.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs

  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Applicability of job levels varies by location and is determined by the plant skills matrix and state requirements.

Physical Environment/Demands:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.

  • Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature

  • Exposure to manufacturing environments to include: loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells and allergies

  • Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures.

  • Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.

  • Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Freezer Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Plant Operation

  • Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis
