Senior Building Automation Systems Specialist This role supports our Las Vegas, NV branch location, which serves customers throughout the greater Las Vegas area. Our position enables the installation, startup, and commissioning of building automation system equipment, ensuring consistent system database programming and diagnosing any control system malfunctions. As a Lead Systems Specialist, you will mentor lower-level technicians and serve as the face of Siemens for customers, helping them save energy and drive sustainability. Responsibilities Commission new distributed digital control systems on construction sites within planned timelines. Document commissioning details; communicate deficiencies and progress. Act as Lead Technician and plan work with Team Leader. Support the Project Manager by attending job site coordination meetings and verifying installation progress. Network technologies: perform data backup from data servers and create automated backup procedures, troubleshoot and resolve inconsistencies, configure PC workstations and user interfaces, confirm proper network performance. Operational testing, verification, and acceptance: run routine reports to review system operation, perform final inspection and testing, provide customer training, submit written reports, and deliver plans and control system documents for as‑built drawings. Project site communication and coordination: coordinate trade contractors to perform startup services. Work overtime when needed (compressed schedule may require extended hours). Work rotational on‑call and/or minimal overnight travel. Submit accurate time and expense reports. Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Basic Qualifications 3+ years experience with electro‑mechanical systems (previous role or education) and user PC/software skills. 3+ years experience installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment. Must demonstrate: Experience writing computer programs and software applications related to HVAC industry; Knowledge of various electronic or digital control systems and ability to test and write modifications to system software in multiple languages; Programming, job start‑up, checkout, and troubleshooting complex projects; Integration of low voltage building sub‑systems industry protocols such as LON, BACnet, N2, Modbus, etc.; Ability to read, understand and interpret design and construction documents; Willingness to work in various conditions (climbing, scaffolds, high‑lift equipment, ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings). Must be able and willing to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, tablet; able to carry equipment and tools up to 75 pounds unassisted. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must be able and willing to work overtime as needed. Must be 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations; eligible for Siemens fleet vehicle program. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or state‑recognized GED; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or related field. For Lead Role: 5+ years experience installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment. Pay range: $69,259 – $104,920 annually (subject to budget and candidate experience).
