FINANCIAL ACCREDITATION SPECIALIST AND TRAINER

Financial Accreditation Specialist and Trainer Position ID: TMPPT6539 Pay: $40.70/hour - $55.88/hour Location: 21 South Fruit Street, Suite 14, Concord, NH 03301 Employment Type: Part‑time Post Date: 06/15/2026 Close Date: 06/25/2026 Summary Reporting directly to the Director of Financial Regulation, the Financial Accreditation Specialist is responsible for evaluating, developing and implementing training and project plans designed to ensure the Division meets NAIC accreditation standards. The Specialist will design and deliver training to senior leaders and assist in preparing reports for submission to the NAIC. Responsibilities Review NH insurance laws and NAIC Model Laws and Regulations to identify national regulatory changes that must be incorporated into Division procedure manuals and NH’s regulatory schema. Coordinate and collaborate with the Insurance Department’s Legislative Director and staff attorneys to amend New Hampshire Laws and Regulations required to maintain the Department’s accreditation with the NAIC. Provide testimony to NH’s elected state officials regarding all bills related to financial accreditation. Utilize knowledge of statutory accounting principles and national accreditation standards to develop and deliver training to the Division’s Director of Financial Regulation, Chief Financial Analyst, and Chief Financial Examiner. Develop and amend Division policies and procedures to comply with NAIC accreditation laws and regulations; submit these to the Director of Financial Regulation for review and approval; coach the Director in preparing for NAIC calls and meetings related to reinsurance and accreditation. Prepare reports, including the Insurance Department Resources Report, the Insurance Department Annual Report, and Form D’s, for submission to the NAIC. Minimum Qualifications Education / Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of experience or equivalent combination of 13 years of education and experience after high school in accounting, finance, insurance, auditing, business administration, insurance management, or insurance regulation, with at least 5 years in a management‑level position involving administrative or supervisory duties concerning program administration, planning, evaluation, or business management. License / Certification: None Other Requirements: None Preferred Qualifications Possession of one of the nationally recognized professional designations: AIE, CIE, AFE, AMCM, FLMI, CLU, ChFC, CPCU, or Certified Financial Examiner (CFE). Willingness to maintain a professional appearance appropriate to the role. Trainee Option Candidates with an equivalent combination of 12+ years of relevant education and experience after high school may be considered and hired in ‘trainee status’ for this position.
