Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a progressive dairy operation in North Carolina who is seeking a motivated Herdsman to support the Dairy Manager in all aspects of the dairy while preparing for increased management responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid dairy background who is eager to learn, accepts coaching, asks questions, and wants to build a long-term career in dairy management.

Responsibilities include assisting with herd health, reproduction, calf and heifer care, fresh cow management, feeding replacement animals, and maintaining accurate records using herd management software. The successful candidate will work closely with the Dairy Manager, veterinarian, and management team to ensure established protocols are followed while promoting excellent animal health and overall herd performance.

Additional responsibilities include assisting with inventory and supply management, operating farm equipment, maintaining facilities, supporting calf and heifer development, and helping ensure the dairy operates efficiently on a day-to-day basis. The individual will also assist with facility appearance and may participate in agritourism activities or educational tours as needed.
