Position Overview: Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistant

In this role, you will:

• Deliver therapy services as planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Occupational Therapist, adhering to the patient's Treatment Plan.
• Support the execution of vocational and educational programs designed by the registered Occupational Therapist to restore, reinforce, and enhance task performance, correct pathologies, and promote health and self-sufficiency.
• Design and modify equipment and living environments, as well as create devices to assist in improving function and independence, facilitating participation in programs and community activities.
• Administer therapeutic treatments and provide instruction to patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist, following physician orders to enhance strength, coordination, range of motion, and overall function, or to teach compensatory strategies.
• Communicate observations and information to the Occupational Therapist and/or Clinical Supervisor, document findings in patient records, and assist in preparing clinical notes and progress reports. Ensure compliance with documentation requirements set by the organization or facility.
• Educate patients and their families on home programs and the care and use of adaptive equipment.
• Engage in care coordination and discharge planning, serving as a resource for other healthcare professionals to meet patient needs.
• Develop community reintegration activities as appropriate to support clients in their physical reconditioning and psychological adjustment, coordinating efforts with the interdisciplinary team.

• Current and valid Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and dependable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least six months of experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
• Experience in Home Health settings.

Compensation and Work Schedule

Pay is structured on a per visit/unit basis, ranging from $41.00 to $57.00 .

Scheduled weekly hours: 32

The salary range provided reflects a good faith estimate of the starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications, including skills, experience, education, and certifications.

Annual salary range: $64,000 - $87,500
