Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a qualified Level III NICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized patient care for neonates in a high-acuity environment. The nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care, including respiratory support and advanced diagnostic procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced neonatal patient care utilizing all respiratory modes and clinical procedures.
• Monitor and assess critically ill neonates, including PICC line management, bronchoscopy, LISA, VCUG, MRI, and swallow studies.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols by maintaining up-to-date certifications such as BLS and NRP.
• Document patient care, updates, and interventions accurately in compliance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with physicians and team members during procedures like line insertions and imaging studies.
• Adhere to compliance requirements including timely completion of onboarding modules and work history verification.

Qualifications:

• Valid California Registered Nurse license with recent upload to Nursys.
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience in a Level III setting.
• Current certification in BLS and NRP.
• Demonstrated ability to perform complex medical procedures including line insertions and diagnostic studies.
• Strong assessment skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
