Quality Inspector III

Quality Inspector IIICadrex is searching for a Quality Inspector III to directly support site manufacturing practices through development, evaluation, and continual improvement of processes using quality concepts, principles, and methodologies with the goal of consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations of quality.Key ResponsibilitiesUse measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, steel rulers, pin gages, surface plate, and height gageRead and interpret blueprintsVisual inspection of product according to customer requirementsInspect and or test in-process product as well as finished productDocument inspection results by completing required reports/logsIdentify and quarantine all non-conforming productGenerate and summarize non-conforming reports for discrepant productsKeep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and identify and address issues with equipment that may need repairInspect and approve incoming materials where and when needed by confirming they meet specificationsAttend department meetings as requiredInspect and release products for shipping by ensuring proper documentation or certifications are provided as outlined by customer requirements. (Visual & Dimensional verification may be required)Learn and assist with dimensional verification of PPAP and 1st article partsCreate internal Control Plans in accordance with customer and Advanced Laser requirementsOperate FARO & Micro-Vu measurement equipmentProvide direct support to the production floor by assisting with interpretation and development of manufacturing related documentation and providing proper measuring techniquesAssist with calibration procedures and provide calibration of measuring equipment as outlined by Advanced Laser procedures and ISO StandardCollaborate with the team for corrective action in reaction to customer complaints, vendor issues, and internal process failuresAbility to successfully work on a team to resolve issues with manufacturing personnelOperate FARO & Micro-Vu measurement equipment efficientlyParticipate in internal process audits including dimensional workmanship and documentation verificationComplete PPAP and 1st article documentation development and processingLead and train Level I and II inspectors as needed to increase performanceTrain, identify, and implement lean processes and project improvementsPreferred QualificationsUnderstand industry safety standards and quality expectations5 or more years working in a metal fabrication environment under a continuous improvement QMS with hands on inspection preferredRead and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
