Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

●        Inspection & Maintenance : Conduct routine inspections of cranes, hoists, and lifting gear; perform preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues

●        Diagnosis & Repairs : Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems; repair or replace defective parts

●        Safety Compliance : Ensure all crane operations comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations

●        Recordkeeping : Maintain detailed logs of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities

●        Collaboration : Work with engineers, operators, and safety inspectors; assist in crane assembly or upgrades

●        Training : Supervise or train junior mechanics and apprentices

Required Skills & Knowledge

●        Proficiency with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

●        Experience with diagnostic tools and computerized testing equipment

●        Strong understanding of safety standards and compliance requirements

●        Ability to work in varied environments, including construction sites and industrial facilities

●        Effective communication skills for coordinating with teams

Qualifications

●        Experience : Proven work history with cranes or heavy equipment

●        Certifications : Recognized crane maintenance or operation certifications; relevant trade licenses

●        Education : High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in heavy machinery or related fields
