Job Summary Geisinger offers a full‑time Inpatient Registered Nurse position in the Central Region Float Pool. The hiring rate starts at $41.50 per hour, with additional float premium of up to $10 and shift differentials of up to $7 for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout care. Formulate, coordinate, and provide plan of care, including education, family needs, and discharge planning, with the interdisciplinary team. Provide direct patient care: treatments, medications, diagnostic studies per policy and procedure. Evaluate effectiveness of interventions and revise plan of care based on patient response. Collaborate with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other team members; proactively resolve patient needs. Problem‑solve, troubleshoot, and implement corrective measures for equipment and care handling. Participate in unit‑based decision‑making regarding evidence‑based practice. Act as a team member working toward unit and organizational goals; hold accountability for metrics. Participate in quality and safety education programs and activities to improve departmental and organizational safety. Position Details / Schedule Requirements 0.9 full‑time equivalent (FTE), 36 hours per week on three 12‑hour shifts. Day/Night schedule rotation (7a‑7:30p, 7p‑7:30a). Rotating weekend and holiday shifts. Eligibility to float assignments among Geisinger Medical Center Danville, Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital, and Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital. Qualifications Graduate from a specialty training program (required). Minimum of 1 year related work experience (required).
