Make a meaningful impact supporting students in an educational setting as an experienced paraprofessional! This contract position offers the chance to collaborate daily with dedicated educators and provide direct assistance to students, helping them achieve their fullest academic and social potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, classroom assistant, or in a similar role working with children
- Familiarity with classroom routines and instructional strategies
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents
- Strong communication skills and a patient, compassionate demeanor
- Adaptability in fast-paced or changing classroom environments
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or training preferred
Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers in daily lesson delivery and activities
- Provide one-on-one or small group academic assistance as directed
- Monitor student engagement and help maintain a positive classroom environment
- Assist with behavior management and encourage participation
- Aid in the preparation and organization of classroom materials
- Supervise students during lunch, recess, and transitions
- Follow all school policies and safety guidelines
