Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Frederick, MD

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30).

Job Description: The Labor & Delivery department provides comprehensive obstetric care for patients who are 20+ weeks pregnant and up to 6 weeks postpartum. It is equipped with 14 L&D rooms, an OB Triage unit, OB ORs, and an OB PACU, designed for comfort, safety, and family-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Circulate for C-sections and manage patient care in the Labor & Delivery unit.
• Provide obstetric care and support to expectant families.
• Utilize state-of-the-art equipment and modern technologies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 3 years of current Labor & Delivery experience, including OB Triage.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, C-EFM (preferred), or AWHONN Intermediate (must obtain C-EFM if contract extensions exceed 1 year).
• Active MD or compact nursing license required at the time of submittal.
