Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment with Possible Extension | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 5:00 PM), Monday–Friday | On-Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures in the OR setting
• Perform scrub and/or circulating RN duties throughout cardiac surgical cases
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes before, during, and after procedures
• Accurately document patient care activities using Epic EMR
• Participate in on-call responsibilities as required by the department

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current PALS certification (AHA only)
• Demonstrated Cardiac OR (CVOR) experience
• Ability to pass a facility-administered medication test; candidates who do not pass the second attempt will be released
• Compliance with a nicotine-free workplace policy; facility tests for cotinine/nicotine

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 5 years of recent OR experience
• Pediatric surgical or clinical experience
• CNOR certification
• Epic EMR experience
• BSN degree
• Recent travel nursing experience
