Registered Nurse - Cardiac Specialty

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Specialty team. The ideal candidate must possess strong telemetry and cardiac floor experience. This role requires the ability to manage various cardiac conditions and participate in a dynamic clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care in a cardiac stepdown unit.
• Monitor and manage cardiac rhythms, including the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Administer cardiac drips and manage chest tubes, CPAP/BIPAP, and other devices.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Participate in post-operative care, including CABG and valve replacement surgeries.
• Educate patients and families about cardiac health and post-procedural care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor required.
• Traveler Experience is required unless the traveler has more than 24 months of cardiac experience.
• Certifications: Current BLS & ACLS, NIHSS.
• Strong skills in cardiac telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, and sheath removal.
• Preferred: Arterial line management, wound care, and charge experience.
