Exciting opportunities await dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists interested in supporting students within a vibrant school community near Silver Spring, MD. This contract assignment offers several full-time, long-term substitute positions serving diverse elementary school populations. Bring your expertise to a collaborative educational environment, making a positive difference throughout the school year.

Current openings include roles at the following locations and schedules:

• Waverly Elementary: Immediate start through mid-February (potential to extend to the end of the year); general education caseload with some regional program support—AAC experience preferred.
• Veterans Elementary: Begins mid-November through mid-February (potential to extend); primarily early childhood caseload.
• Deep Run Elementary: Begins mid-November through mid-February (potential to extend); primarily K–5 caseload.
• Atholton/Phelps Luck Elementary: Immediate opening through mid-February; split schedule between both schools.

All positions are scheduled for 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid MD SLP license required
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong Clinical Fellow (CFY) candidates considered
• Recent school-based SLP experience is highly desirable
• Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices preferred for Waverly assignment
• Ability to work onsite and adapt to a school environment

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
• Develop and implement individualized education and therapy plans
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to maximize student progress
• Document student performance and maintain accurate records
• Support IEP meetings and complete related paperwork in a timely manner
