Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapy Tech

Radiation Therapist Oncology
Shift: 8-hour days (8am-4:30pm) Days: Monday to Friday Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40 weekly
Current New York license required One year of radiation experience Experience with Varian TrueBeam and IX, and Aria software preferred Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Current BCLS certification Knowledge of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology Maintains all registries and licenses required by state and federal law
Administer prescribed doses of radiation to patients Monitor systems and maintain equipment to ensure safe delivery of therapy Work collaboratively with oncology team to provide optimal patient care Educate patients on treatment procedures and address any concerns Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Adhere to safety and regulatory policies in the delivery of care
