About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required. License: Current CA RN license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, BSN required. Must-Have: Must have EPIC EMR experience. Must be comfortable with pediatric patients. Availability for 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule. Must have requested time off submitted initially. No first-time travelers accepted. Description: This position requires a registered nurse specializing in emergency care. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the emergency setting. Patient age groups include neonates, infants, children, adults, and geriatric patients. Daily census is approximately 110%. The facility serves a diverse patient population with various diagnoses, including trauma, sepsis, and cardiac conditions. Experience in trauma, adult/pediatric emergency departments, and teaching facilities is preferred. Skills required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction, central line care, and patient triage. This position does not require float or call duties. The nurse will work with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Special procedures involve a Level 1 trauma response and various emergency protocols. Prior travel experience is required. The work environment is fast-paced, emphasizing teamwork and critical decision-making.
