About the Position

Job Title: Travel RN - ICU Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of current acute care ICU hospital experience License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Candidates without the following skills will not be considered: - Minimum 1 year of current acute care ICU hospital experience - BLS, ACLS & NIH certifications Description: This is a travel RN position in the ICU. The unit has a total of 38 beds and serves a variety of patients including medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgery cases. It also includes post-operative open-heart patients, VV and VA ECMO, balloon pump, Impella, and CRRT. Staffing includes 1 Charge nurse and 16-18 staff on day and night shifts. Patient ratios may be 2:1 or 1:1 depending on acuity. Equipment used on the unit includes Stryker beds, Avea ventilators, GE monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Maquet IABP, Vigilance II monitors, Impella, ECMO, Maquet Cardiohelp, and Medtronic Vital Flow. This position requires skills such as bedside procedures including bronchoscopy, GI scopes, chest tube insertion, and arterial and central line insertions. Airway care and frequent drip titrations are also typical tasks. Candidates with prior experience in CVICU/CTICU will be given preference. The ideal candidates are team players with strong attention to detail. The work environment is characterized by a warm and friendly atmosphere, where nurses collaborate effectively. The location offers proximity to outdoor activities, including skiing and hiking, depending on the season.
