Key Responsibilities\nAs a Licensed Professional Counselor at West Valley Psychiatric Services, your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting thorough assessments of patients’ biopsychosocial needs to identify challenges and strengths, forming a foundation for treatment planning. \n
- Developing personalized treatment plans that address the unique psychological and emotional needs of each client. \n
- Providing high-quality psychotherapy sessions, both individually and in group settings, facilitating support for diverse client populations. \n
- Crisis intervention and triage evaluations in collaboration with outpatient and inpatient teams, ensuring timely support for patients in acute distress. \n
- Upholding compliance with organizational policies, current regulations, and ethical standards in all professional interactions. \n
- Participating in multidisciplinary program planning with psychiatry and other necessary team members. \n
The primary patient population consists of individuals seeking comprehensive mental health support, including those dealing with anxiety, depression, substance misuse, trauma, and relationship challenges. Our clinic values diversity and supports a wide array of clients, whether they are attending therapy for the first time or returning for ongoing treatment.
Qualifications\nTo excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. \n
- Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado. \n
- A minimum of two years of counseling experience, ideally in a clinical setting. \n
- Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards related to counseling practices. \n
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effectively building relationships with clients. \n
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and related technologies. \n
While not mandatory, the following experience is highly preferred:

- Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use disorder treatment. \n
- Previous experience in a primary care or medical setting, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team. \n
- Demonstrated capacity to engage clients in meaningful therapeutic interactions and interventions. \n
We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
