About the Opportunity

The Farmers Protege Program is designed for high-potential professionals who want to become future agency owners — without needing upfront capital.

As a Protege, you will work inside a Farmers agency, receive hands-on mentorship, build your sales skills, and earn the opportunity to launch your own Farmers agency after completing production milestones.

If you're motivated, coachable, and ready to grow your career in insurance and financial services, the Protege program is the fastest track to becoming an agency owner.

What You'll Do

As a Farmers Protege , you will:

• Sell Personal Lines, Life, Commercial, and Specialty insurance products
• Develop sales pipelines through warm leads, referrals, community outreach, and marketing tools
• Provide personalized insurance solutions and maintain excellent customer service
• Build a foundation in insurance operations, marketing, quoting, and compliance
• Work closely with an experienced Farmers Agency Owner for training and mentorship
• Achieve production benchmarks that qualify you for agency ownership

Experience in sales, insurance, finance, real estate, or customer service is helpful — but not required. We provide the training you need to succeed.

Requirements

• Property & Casualty license (or willingness to obtain quickly)
• Life & Health license (required during the program)
• Ability to commit full-time to the role
• Satisfactory background check
• Strong work ethic and ability to meet sales activity expectations

Compensation

This is a performance-driven role with:

• Commission-based income
• Bonuses based on production
