Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30).

Job Description

This Registered Nurse position in Labor and Delivery focuses on providing care for patients experiencing labor and preterm labor. The unit features 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms, and the nurse will be expected to circulate in OB-GYN, manage post-op and pre-op care, as well as provide scrub support and care in low-risk antepartum and low-risk labor and delivery settings. The nurse will utilize the Epic charting system and participate in the administration of various procedures and special equipment related to obstetric care.

Responsibilities

• Attend all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries.
• Administer blood and blood products, manage drains, and provide cooling/warming blanket therapies.
• Assist with cardiac procedures such as cardioversion and defibrillation.
• Manage epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and syringe pumps.
• Provide care for GYN surgeries, couplet care, low-risk antepartum, and transition nursery duties.
• Participate in a 1:1 to 1:3 patient ratio during shifts.
• Float to postpartum and possibly L&D at nearby facilities as required.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• First-time travelers are accepted.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications are required.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
• Active compact nursing license is required upon submission.
