Role Description The Senior Tax Preparer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mountain Home, AR. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing individual, partnership, corporate, and other tax returns, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to current tax laws and regulations. Day-to-day tasks include gathering and analyzing client financial information, researching tax issues, identifying planning opportunities, and communicating clearly with clients about their tax situations. The Senior Tax Preparer will collaborate with team members on complex engagements, assist in resolving tax notices, and support clients with year-round tax planning. This role also involves maintaining organized documentation, meeting filing deadlines, and contributing to the firm’s commitment to high-quality client service. The Opportunity The Senior Tax Preparer will play an important role in preparing individual and business tax returns while working directly with our team and clients. We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in providing exceptional client service. Responsibilities Prepare and review individual and business federal and state income tax returns. Analyze financial information and tax documents for accuracy and completeness. Research tax issues and identify opportunities for tax planning and savings. Communicate with clients regarding tax information, questions, and requests. Work closely with clients and other members of the firm throughout the year. Assist with tax planning and business advisory services. Maintain accurate and organized workpapers and documentation. Stay current with changes in federal and state tax laws and regulations. Utilize modern accounting, tax, and AI technology to improve efficiency and client service. Support other members of the tax team and contribute to a collaborative work environment. What We're Looking For Previous experience preparing individual and business tax returns. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while also being an effective team member. Commitment to accuracy, professionalism, and client service.
