Human Resources Generalist

Human Resources Generalist Department: Human Resources Location: Wellsboro, PA Job Description Key Responsibilities Support plant management in decision-making related to people management. Implement and administer human resources programs by providing human resources services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health, and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations, retention, compliance, and labor relations, completing personnel transactions. Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate a standard new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first day experience. Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy to ensure compliance. Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absences, health issues, conduct, capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee relations matters. Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including weekly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, tracking vacation/sick pay, inputting exceptions, hourly employee validations, and benefit changes. Develop and assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, organizational chart, and contribute to the development of policies and plant communications.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field 3-5 years human resources experience Experience with HRIS systems; knowledge of Workday preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office Knowledge of HR federal laws and regulations Demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field Understanding of state and federal employment regulations Awareness of OSHA regulations and compliance Understanding of personnel and compliance records management Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality.
