Electric Power Sales Engineer

Ziegler CAT has an opening for an EPG Sales Engineer <400. This position will develop sales opportunities with new and existing customers. This position will support Electric Power customers through the following job responsibilities: working through customer account commercial issues, providing technical documentation support, supporting other sales engineers, and assisting with project management as needed.Responsibilities:Seeks out prospective customers and provides proposals for Electric Power Generation equipment.Responds to current customer requests for Electric Power Generation equipmentAnalyzes engineering specifications to quote equipment that will meet the project requirementsAnalyzes Electric Power Generation sales opportunities in the territory and systematically targets business opportunitiesDocuments the project and component specifications required by individual customersDocuments sales quotations for customers using standard Ziegler formattingSupports other Sales Engineers as well as customers by providing technical information, literature, schematics and wiring diagramsLearns about Cat and competitive products in order to offer the best solutions based on customer interests and concernsQuotes and closes sales transactions within assigned authority parameters, completing all required sales documentationCoordinates the activities of support divisions within Ziegler and Caterpillar to manage product field service and product quality issuesDocuments quotation, win, loss and data along with other business activities.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required3+ years of technical sales experiencePersonal Attributes: Customer Focus, Problem Solving, Attention to Detail, Sociability, Achievement OrientationStrong mechanical aptitudeClean driving recordWorking knowledge of internal combustion engine installations and drive trainsAnalytical skillsElectric Power, Electrician, Generator, or Reciprocating Engine experience desiredTravel:Up to 25% travelMinimum Physical Requirements:Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing.Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor.
