Join a well-established behavioral health program providing specialized inpatient psychiatric care for geriatric patients within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Position Snapshot Base Salary: $318,449 $354,957 Sign-On Bonus: $25,000 Retention Bonus: $30,000 Schedule: Full-time inpatient (daytime hours) Call: 1:6 weekend rotation Employment Type: Full-time, permanent Schedule & Coverage Model Inpatient-focused schedule with typical daytime hours Call: 1:6 weekend rotation Balanced schedule with shared coverage responsibilities Practice Environment 20-bed Geriatric Psychiatry inpatient unit Multidisciplinary care team including: Psychiatrists Nurse Practitioners Therapists Case Managers Social Workers Dedicated Clinical Coordinator/Social Worker with geriatric specialization Strong system-level behavioral health support Collaborative, physician-friendly culture This is a highly respected, long-standing program focused on comprehensive geriatric mental health care. Clinical Responsibilities Provide inpatient psychiatric care for geriatric patients Manage complex psychiatric, medical, and social conditions Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members Develop and implement treatment plans Coordinate discharge planning and continuity of care Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Active New York license (or ability to obtain) DEA certification Clean malpractice and license history Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship preferred but not required.
