Construction Inspector Location 2147 NJ-27 Suite 202 - Edison, NJ 08817 US (Primary) Job Type Full-time Education Bachelor's Degree Job Description ATANE Consulting is actively seeking a Construction Inspector with over 5 years of experience for a NJTA project in New Jersey. This individual should have strong bridge and highway construction inspection experience with local agencies in NJ, such as NJDOT, NJTA, NJ Transit, NYNJPA and/or DRPA. Responsibilities :- Construction Inspection and Supervision of Bridge/Highway/Infra Contractors according to the Contract Documents and State Specifications.
- Supervising construction progress and scheduling.
- Document all field work in writing, measuring all quantities and taking progress photos and videos.
- Assisting the project Resident Engineer with project administration.
- Perform daily construction inspection of work activities.
- Utilize field testing equipment to test materials and take samples.
- Complete daily reports, quantity calculations, and reports for construction work observed.
- Reviewing design and bidding documents.
- Review plans, shop drawings, field measurements, daily quantities and construction safety.
- 5 years of related experience in similar project environments or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- NICET II/III/IV.
- Knowledge and experience in performing construction inspection activities on highway bridge-related projects, construction site safety standards and agency procedures.
- TCC, NJSAT, OSHA, ACI Grade I, ACI-CCTC, NACE, SSPC Certs are highly desirable.
