Senior Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager | NetSuite | Symphonix Location: On-site - Charlotte, NC Symphonix is looking for a hands‑on Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations and be a true partner to our executive leadership team. This is not a job for someone who wants to sit above the details - you'll be in NetSuite daily, working transactions alongside your team and problem‑solving with business partners, while also owning the reporting, controls, and processes that keep our financials accurate and on time. If you're a CPA (or equivalent experience) who's just as comfortable reconciling an account as you are presenting to leadership, and you want real ownership of a growing accounting function, we want to talk to you. What you'll own: Full accounting operations - AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and month-end close Financial reporting, sales tax filings, and treasury/cash management Day-to-day leadership of a team of Accounting Specialists - working alongside them, not just above them Internal controls and process improvement across the accounting function Direct, candid partnership with our managing partners and executive leadership What you bring: Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred (equivalent experience considered) 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervising or managing a small team Solid transactional accounting background - you understand how a transaction moves through the system from order entry to final payment Advanced Excel skills (HLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas) for reconciliation and analysis NetSuite experience strongly preferred - power users have a real edge here A service-first mindset, sharp attention to detail, and the flexibility to roll up your sleeves in a fast-paced environment Nice to have: Experience with Versapay or other merchant/payment processing platforms Familiarity with remote check deposit and banking fintech tools Exposure to state taxing authority filings (sales tax, withholdings, regulatory filings) This role suits an accountant who leads from the front - someone who wants both the strategic seat at the table and the hands-on rigor of getting the numbers right every day.
