Sr. Middleware Automation Engineer Cloud Engineering/DevOps

We are seeking a Senior Middleware Automation Engineer to design and implement automation solutions that streamline middleware operations and application deployments. This role focuses on CI/CD pipeline development, Ansible automation, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to improve reliability and operational efficiency across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Designs and implements CI/CD pipelines to automate middleware tasks, including configuration management, server provisioning, and application deployment.
• Develops and maintains automation workflows that support middleware administration tasks and operational support automation.
• Leads troubleshooting of CI/CD pipeline failures, deployment issues, and automation-related problems in enterprise production environments.
• Integrates CI/CD pipeline orchestration with Ansible automation frameworks to support continuous delivery and reduce manual intervention.
• Automates application build, deployment, validation, and release processes across multiple environments to improve environment consistency.
• Implements automation solutions using Ansible playbooks for configuration management, server provisioning, deployment automation, and middleware administration support.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in IBM WebSphere Application Server administration.
• Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, deployment, validation, and release processes across multiple environments.
• Hands-on expertise implementing automation solutions using Ansible, including playbook development, configuration management, server provisioning, deployment automation, middleware administration tasks, and operational support automation.
• Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines with automation tools to support continuous delivery, environment consistency, and reduced manual intervention.
• Proficiency troubleshooting pipeline failures, deployment issues, and automation-related problems in enterprise production environments.
• Experience working with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar pipeline orchestration platforms alongside Ansible automation frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with middleware security and SSL configurations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using additional automation and orchestration tooling beyond Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
• Experience supporting middleware automation across a broader set of enterprise environments and release workflows.
