Advising & Support Services Department Student Worker The Advising & Support Services Department is recruiting for two student workers. These positions work to logistically support the operations of the department within a culture of student-centered support services. This position assists in providing support for the front desk and administrative operations of the department and assists students in a manner that ensures an organized, welcoming environment that promotes efficient workflow and student success. Administrative duties and responsibilities: Welcomes and assists students in Advising & Support Services ensuring a positive experience Understands and adheres to Advising & Support Services policy and procedures Communicates with visiting students about additional support services and resources available Assists students in-person or by phone as needed Manages appointments for the department Maintains records Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Advising, Counseling, & Support Services Qualifications: Enrollment in minimum of 6 credit hours in the Fall and Spring semester and 3 credit hours in the summer English proficiency Demonstrate proficient written and oral communication skills Friendly and professional attitude and good interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and ability to establish and meet timelines Team player who is dependable, punctual, organized, and detail oriented While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle controls, key pads, etc. Will be required to sit and reach with hands and arms as well as, sit, stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds while loading and unloading market inventory. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, some color vision, and the ability to adjust focus from documents to computer screen. Hearing of light to moderate sound is required by this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
