Role Description The Service Advisor role at APPLE CHEVROLET is a full-time, on-site position based in Tinley Park, IL. This role involves greeting service customers, listening to their vehicle concerns, and accurately documenting repair and maintenance requests. The Service Advisor coordinates with technicians to create service estimates, explains recommended work and timelines, and secures customer approvals. Daily responsibilities include scheduling appointments, updating customers on repair status, reviewing invoices, and ensuring a smooth handoff at vehicle pickup. The role also requires maintaining service records, promoting appropriate aftersales services, and supporting the dealership’s commitment to high customer satisfaction. Qualifications Strong customer interaction skills, including Customer Service, Customer Satisfaction, and Customer-focused Service. Clear and professional Communication skills, both in person and over phone/email. Understanding of Aftersales processes, including service scheduling, follow-up, and maintenance recommendations. Previous experience in automotive service advising, retail service, or a similar customer-facing role is beneficial. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple service tickets, and prioritize tasks. Basic knowledge of automotive systems and routine maintenance is preferred. Comfort with dealership management or service scheduling software and general computer skills.
